What’s your thought on Warnervale airport being upgraded to a general airport? Wyong Shire Council, Who own the site, are under an agreement with Central Coast Aero Club that stretches untill 2021. If at any stage council decide to close the site, the Aero Club have the first right of refusal to buy the land.

Given the way the Central Coast has grown I think it is imperative that we have an airport that will cater for business travel. If we had this kind of service I feel it would also encourage more businesses to relocate to the Central Coast.

The proposal for Warnervale to be upgraded is one that needs to be stongly supported by both the public and commercial business. If we have ease of transport to the region then we will no longer be “that place between Sydney and Newcastle”.
